Shayna Yasuhara (aka Shayna Shenanigans) is a self-trained American artist with roots in San Francisco. Armed with candy-colored acrylics and a handful of pens she creates entire worlds teeming with life on high glossed wood panels. Each rock, tree, plant, animal, castle and cloud seem to embody its own personality. Her work has been featured in a variety of gallery spaces and outdoor locations, including a Pabst Blue Ribbon billboard in Boston, MA, a recent show at Public Work's Roll Up Gallery in San Francisco, CA and a solo show at the Famous When Dead Gallery in Melbourne, Australia. She is the creator of Paint Pens in Purses, the female urban art collective.
